William Mason Vaughn

William Mason Vaughn, age 80 of Irving, Texas passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born on October 31, 1942 in Milan, TN to James and Imogene Vaughn. His parents both preceded him in death along with his son William (Billy) Mason Vaughn. William grew up in Tennessee and in Dallas and attended Crozier Tech Dallas but he always said he graduated from the school of hard knocks. He married Dolores on October 30, 1970. He was a diesel mechanic for both Red Ball and Yellow Freight Companies. William enjoyed being an artist, working on old cars and riding his Harley. He was a people person, the life of the party and always had tons of stories. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Vaughn; children, Dolores Perez, Michael Vaughn, Diana Garcia, Debbie Vaughn; Grand-children Elaine Perez, Santana Perez, Margo Perez, Cashlin Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Michelle Garcia, Eddie Garcia, Eli Garcia, Vanessa Vaughn ,James Harrington, Steven Harrington , William Mason Vaughn, Logan Michael Vaughn, Jessica Vaughn; and numerous great grand-children, other family members and friends. A Celebration of Williams life will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home.
