Vincent Joseph Leone, age 64, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born on November 9, 1957, in Dover, Ohio, the son of Anna Hefner and Bruce Leone. Vince grew up in Louisville, Ohio, and graduated from Santa Fe High School in Lakeland, Florida. He later went to Florida Southern College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. During college he met the love of his life, Barbara Hardy, and they were married on December 30, 1980. They spent 40 wonderful years together. Vince served in The United States Army from 1984-1992. He was stationed in Fort Sill, Ulm Germany and served in Desert Storm. Vince served in the Army as a Regular Army Field Artillery Officer for eight years of progressive, successful command and control leadership assignments. His career highlights include combat command of 150 soldiers during the Persian Gulf War, and command of three mobile intermediate range Pershing II nuclear missiles in Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star from action during the Persian Gulf War, and the Superior Unit Award for training and operational excellence. He achieved the rank of Major and held a Top-Secret Security Clearance. In his last eight years, Vince passionately served as The President and Founder of VetStarts and Warrior Art; where he strived to make a significant and sustainable difference in the lives of military veterans, people with special needs, and his community. Vince was a man after Gods own heart. He never met a stranger. He always brought a smile to people’s faces and was intentional in everything he did. He was the master of giving nicknames to all. Vince is preceded in death by his sister Shannon Leone. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Leone; children, Anna Leone and her fiancé, Chase Hamilton, Lauren Cook and her husband, Cameron, Joseph Leone; grandchildren, Canyon and Winston Cook, parents, Anna Hefner, Bruce Leone, siblings, Micci Leone, Tony Leone, Bruce and wife, Jennifer Leone, Mitch and wife, Renee Leone, Aundrea Leone, Mabeline Leone, Aubrey Crawford, Bruno Leone, Rocco Leone, Grace Kohout; among numerous other family and friends.
