Tamara "Tammy" Lynn Chism Terihay, born on March 7, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of John Emory Chism and the late Patricia Ann Watts. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Chism, as well as her grandparents, Ernest and Gladys Chism, grandmother Rose Watts, grandfather Curtis Watts, and his wife Mildred.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Dehia Terihay, her dear father, John Chism, and her devoted siblings, John Chism and his wife, Janet, Curtis Chism and his wife, Veronica, Thomas Chism and his wife, Marcie, Carol Hintermeier and her husband, Richard, Rhonda Perdue and her husband, Jimmy, Sharon Price and her husband, James, Robert Denton and wife, Dana, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tammy's beloved furbaby, Winnie, was a constant source of comfort and companionship in her life, as well.
The secretary to the manager of the Distribution Center for Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD, Tammy was a loyal employee who took pride in assisting schools with meeting the needs of students, staff, and the school district.
Known for her passion as an avid Star Trek fan, Tammy cherished the adventures of the Starship Enterprise and the infinite possibilities of the Final Frontier. Her enthusiasm for the series brought joy to those around her and ignited countless conversations about the ever-expanding universe.
In addition to her love for Star Trek, Tammy had a special talent for the art of crochet. Her creations were a testament to her creativity and dedication, often given as cherished gifts to her family and friends. Her intricate designs and warm, handcrafted items will be treasured by those who have been fortunate enough to receive them.
Above all, Tammy's greatest love was for her family. She found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones while creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and shared experiences. Her warm and inviting nature made every gathering a special occasion, and her presence was a comforting beacon to all.
Tamara "Tammy" Lynn Chism Terihay's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of family connections, creative passions, and an unbreakable bond with her daughter, Dehia, and dog, Winnie. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
