Please join us in Celebration of Susan’s Life on Friday, October 14th,2022.  Service will be held at 2:00pm at Senter East Building in Irving, located at 1000 Senter Road, Irving, TX 75060.  Arrival begins at 1:30 pm.  Flowers may be sent to 905 Rosewood Court, Euless, TX 76039 and will be taken to the celebration. (Please do not send flowers to the Senter East Building Venue).

Susan Gail Wood was born on May 10th, 1958 in Waxahachie, TX, to Henry E. and Marjorie I. Wood, and passed away in Dallas, Tx on the evening of October 2, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.  Susan, who was best known by the ones she loved as “Nanny”, is survived by her mother Marjorie (Granny) Wood, her spouse Don Elliott, brother Steve Wood and his wife Terry, daughter Melanie Moore and her husband Rhit , son Russell Taylor and his wife Kristin, along with her beloved grandchildren Kade, Henry, Alanna, and Lily extended family and many friends. Susan was preceded in death by her father Henry E. Wood and her much loved pets.

Although born in Waxahachie, Susan lived most of her years in Irving, TX. Susan absolutely loved being with her family and friends and was also very passionate about caring for her pets and her garden. She loved being in the sun and always had a vibrant personality to match. If there was one thing that she loved above all, and would most definitely leave everything else in the dust for, it was her cherished grandchildren.  She felt so much pride and joy for them.  Susan also loved spending time with her mother, Marjorie Wood. It was clear that moments with her mom were some of her most cherished.  “Nanny”, Susan, “Mom”; provided many of us with laughs, hugs, and support.  She will be so very missed by all of us.
