Sona Sue Liggett

Sona Sue Liggett, age 82 a lifelong resident of Irving, Texas passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born on May 3, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Dick and Anna Mae Liggett. They both preceded her in death along with her sister Dixie Oaks. Sona was a long time member to South MacArthur Church of Christ and then Christ Church in Irving. She graduated from Irving High School and Draughan's Business School. Sona worked for 40 years at National Chemsearch Corporation in Irving. Through all her obstacles and challenges in her life, Sona always kept going never complaining and always trying her best. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Sona leaves behind her brothers Richard Liggett and wife Lani, Joe Liggett; brother-in-law Darrell Oaks; nephews and nieces Brett and Teresita Oaks and Scott and Keri Oaks. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, September 19th at Chism Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20th at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
