Sherry Anne North

Obituary Sherry Anne North, 62, of Irving, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born to John and Jean North on September 2, 1957, in Grove City, Pennsylvania. In 1975, she graduated from Lakeview High School in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania. After moving to Texas in 1977, she quickly became involved in her community. She attended Oak View Baptist Church for over 25 years where she loved decorating and was a member of the flower committee. Sherry also taught Sunday School Youth Group at the church for many years. Throughout her life, she encouraged all those she met to embrace the love and the word of the Lord. She loved her family and made sure both her children and grandchildren grew up surrounded by that love. When not in church or with her loved ones, she could be found shopping or working in the garden - both activities she greatly enjoyed. North spent the final moments of her earthly life at home, surrounded by family. She fought bravely even in her final moments, never losing her faith. She is survived by her parents, John and Jean North, of Irving, TX; her sister, Eileen North, of Irving, TX; her brother, John North, and wife Lorey of Grove City, Pennsylvania; her son, Brian North, and wife Brianne of Palestine, TX; her daughter, Alyssa North, of Waxahachie, TX; her niece Ranee North of Arlington, TX; her granddaughters Chloee Raley of Hallsville, TX; Hannah North of Roanoke, TX; and Leah Raley of Athens, TX; and her grandsons Noah Raley of Athens, TX, and Jeremiah North of Palestine, TX.
