Royce Christopher (Bishop) Bishop

Royce Christopher Bishop, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2023, leaving a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He was born on October 23, 1968, in Dallas, Texas, to proud parents Darrell Bishop and Elaine Traugott.

Royce's journey through life was marked by a deep passion for creativity, music, and photography. He spent his formative years in Bedford, Texas, where he graduated from Trinity High School. Following his graduation, he pursued his artistic aspirations by attending the Art Institute of Dallas, where he honed his skills in photography and videography.

With dedication and a commitment to his craft, Royce earned an Applied Science degree in Music and Video Business Programming, a testament to his unwavering pursuit of excellence in his chosen field. He went on to establish himself as a professional photographer and videographer, started and ran his own successful business, 1122 Studios, capturing moments that would become cherished memories for his clients and friends alike.

Royce was not only skilled but also deeply engaged in his profession, proudly holding memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Texas Professional Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers of America. His artistic talents shone brightly through his lens, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of witnessing his work.

Beyond his professional achievements, Royce's life was rich with diverse interests. He was an avid golfer, finding joy on the greens, a talented guitar player who could effortlessly weave melodies, and a music aficionado with an encyclopedic knowledge of tunes from various genres. His passion for these pursuits added depth and dimension to his vibrant personality that was forever lived out loud.

On June 17, 1995, Royce embarked on a journey of love and companionship when he married the love of his life, Pam Davis Bishop. Their union was a testament to enduring love, endless laughter, and mutual support, and Pam was his rock throughout their shared adventures.

Royce Christopher Bishop is survived by his devoted spouse, Pam Bishop, his loving mother, Elaine Traugott, and her husband, John, his father, Darrell Bishop, and his wife, Cathy, as well as his cherished brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Misty. He leaves behind countless other dear family members and unforgettable friends, all of whom were touched by his warmth, creativity, and unwavering love.

A date for Celebrating this Magnificent Life will be on 11/22/23.  Specific details will be shared in the coming months.  Royce’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his artistic legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.  May he rest in eternal peace.
