Robert Franklin Turney

Robert Franklin Turney, age 65, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born on May 13, 1955 in Watervliet, Michigan to Flavious Eugene and Mary Emma Menetha Turney.
Robert was a graduate of Irving High School Class of 1974. He married the love of his life, Tammy Graves on December 9, 1989.

Robert was a Singer and Musician most all his life. He recently played in a country band with his wife called Sundance. Robert was a youth worship leader for 13 years. He taught kids to worship The Lord and in many cases taught them how to play instruments as well. He and his wife sang in a Gospel Quartet called the Master's Touch. They also served on Worship Teams together for their entire marriage.

Robert was the very definition of a "Servant's Heart." He gave his all that in every home he went into for repairs always going above and beyond in all he did. He devoted his heart to the kids he taught, but most importantly to his wife and kids.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Betty Turney and Hazel Lawrence.

Robert leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Tammy Turney; daughters, Hayley Campbell and husband, Tyler, Deborah McGrath and husband, Gary with their son, Jr., Lisa Pfirman and husband, Todd with their son, Harrison and daughter, Olivia; sons, Benjamin Turney and wife, Laura, Samuel Turney, Bobby Turney, James Buo and wife Carrie, with their sons, Logan and Grey; sisters, Hester Raidt and husband, Joe, Carolyn Moore and husband, David, Teresa Spraggins and husband, Jim; among numerous neices, nephews, family and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, February 25th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26th at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas.

A Celebration of life will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 26th at Grace Community Church in Arlington, Texas.

There will be an opportunity for people to share a memory, or condolence at the his Celebration of Life Service. The family ask that if you wish to speak, please come prepared.
