Richard Lee Burt

Richard Lee Burt, age 51 of Dallas, Texas passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born on September 29, 1970 to Elgon and Betty Burt in Dallas, Texas. Richard was preceded in death by his father and his brother Jerry Lee Burt along with several close friends. He was a member of Brook Hollow Baptist Church in Irving and was a plumber by trade. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting deer. He leaves behind his mother, Betty Ann Burt; brother, Elgon Lee Burt Sr.; sister, Lisa Wood; nephew, Elgon Lee Burt Jr.; nieces, Casandra Ann Burt, Harley Sue Ann Burt, Ashley Nicole Burt, Delilah Martinez, cousins, Bobby Burt, Glenn Burt, Patricia Burt, Cindy Hebert, Jerry Dewayne Burt, Michael Lee Burt; and close friends, Nick Balthrop, Hunter Balthrop, James Bailey, Johnny Willingham, Floyd Ethridge, Maria Reyes, Jeff Redden, Martin Banks. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7th al so at the Funeral Home with interment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX.
