Paul Alexander Mize

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Alexander Mize, a loving father & devoted son and friend, who peacefully left us on July 31st, 2023, at the age of 66. Paul was born to the proud parents, Paul Marvin Mize and Rosemary Mize, in Valencia, California. He spent his formative years in Ojai, California, where his favorite memories were of fishing with his father.

Paul led a full life, leaving behind memories that touched the hearts of many. As a skilled and dedicated handyman, he served the community, leaving behind the mark of his handiwork in many homes and hearts.

Outside of his professional life, Paul found joy in various hobbies that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. His passion for fishing allowed him to unwind and connect with nature, while his love for music touched the souls of everyone who heard him play. His skills in woodcraft brought life to beautiful creations, and his creations will forever remind us of his artistic spirit.

Paul was a man of strong faith and found solace at Freedom Life Fellowship, where he nurtured his spiritual connection and found comfort in his community of believers.

Above all, Paul cherished the moments he spent with his beloved family and friends. Surviving him are his love Sharleen Putnam, his children Tiffaney Noel, Tyrel Mize, Paul Jewell, Kimberly Putnam, Matthew Sprowls, his grand children Ezra, Robert, Elizabeth & Kyler, his uncle John Mize, his cousins Veronica Peters, James Mize, Leonard Mize, Teresa Jones, and Yvonne Ravioni. He was a source of love and laughter to each one of them, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

Paul is now reunited with his parents, Paul Marvin Mize and Rosemary Mize, and his cousin Ann Spots, who have gone before him. We find solace in knowing that they are together in eternal peace.

As we say our final farewells to Paul, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives. He will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, and the love he bestowed upon those around him.

A memorial service to honor Paul's life will be held at Chism-Smith Funeral Home in August 7th from 2-7 pm, where family and friends can gather to share their memories and bid farewell to a man who touched our hearts. Funeral services will start at 3:30 pm.

Rest in peace, dear Paul, knowing that you will forever live on in the hearts of those who love you.
