Patrick Terrance Alexander Jones, affectionately known to many as Paddy and Pac-Man, was born on July 22, 1992, in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Irving, Texas, where he became known for his vibrant personality and loving spirit. Patrick departed this life on March 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and memorable moments that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Patrick was a proud father to his beloved son, Kacen Jones, who was the light of his life. He is survived by his loving mother, Kristi Knight, and step-father, Mark Boyd, as well as his father, Willie Jones, and step-mother, Tammy Jones. Patrick's warmth and kindness were further reflected in the close-knit family ties he maintained. His maternal grandmother, Tina Jones, along with his brothers Nicholas, Brandon, Dalton, and Lacy, stand as pillars of support during this profound loss.
In addition to his immediate family, Patrick had a strong bond with his step-brothers, Ryan Villarreal and family, and step-sisters, Natalie Villarreal and Misty Scrivner and family. He is survived by his aunts, Lori Liles and D'Ann Gummelt, and uncles, Doug Jones and Clyde Jones. Patrick cherished his nieces, Haley Gummelt, Toni Liles, and Josie Jones, as well as his nephews, Russell Gummelt, Jeremy, and Joshua Henry. He was part of a larger family tapestry that included countless great aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss his infectious spirit.
Though he stood as a figure of strength and joy for those around him, Patrick also faced the sorrow of previous losses in his family, including his maternal grandparents, Judy and Terry Rahmer, and several aunts, uncles, and a brother from his father's side. Each one played a role in shaping the loving man that Patrick became.
Professionally, Patrick carved out a career as a Cell Phone Tower Technician. His dedication and work ethic were commendable traits that his family held in high regard. He was a faithful member of the Baptist church, which grounded him through life's complexities.
Patrick was a man full of adventures and laughter. An avid lover of the outdoors, he found immense pleasure in fishing, camping, traveling, and river rafting. Known for his adventurous spirit, Paddy never met a stranger and could often be found in the company of friends, always ensuring that joy and laughter followed wherever he went. His knack for turning friends’ frowns upside down, whether on a camping trip or floating down the river, created countless cherished memories.
Patrick will be honored during a visitation on March 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Chism-Smith Funeral Home located at 403 South Britain Road in Irving, Texas. A funeral service will take place the following day, March 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AMat the same Location. A GoFundMe has been setup for a Memorial Bench for Patrick.
Those wishing to celebrate Patrick's life and the joy he brought to others are invited to join his family and friends in remembrance of a truly remarkable individual whose spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
