Myra Ann Martinez, born February 18, 1945, in Stockton, California, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of Dale Lester Peters and Alicia Lela Edwards.

Myra's journey began in the vibrant city of Stockton, where she spent her formative years. She graduated from Lincoln High School and embarked on a fulfilling career in in-home child care, touching the lives of many families with her nurturing and caring nature.

One of Myra's greatest joys in life was taking care of her grandkids and loved ones. She had an exceptional ability to make everyone around her feel cherished and special. Her warm heart and comforting presence brought solace to those in her care.

Myra had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. She found solace in fishing and took great pleasure in observing the colorful avian wonders during her bird-watching adventures. She was also a talented baker and cook, delighting family and friends with her delicious creations. Scrabble was a favorite pastime, and her wordsmith skills were a testament to her sharp mind.

Water ballet was a passion that allowed her to express herself gracefully, and her love for photography captured the precious moments in life. Myra had a soft spot for the silver screen, making her a devoted movie lover throughout her life.

Myra leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the hearts of her family. She is survived by her loving sons, Tommy Martinez and Michael Martinez, and their spouses, Jeana Martinez and Pamela Martinez. Her grandchildren, Tommy Jr. & Kati Martinez, Justin & Hunter Martinez, Michael Jr. & Caitlyn Martinez, Matthew & Bayley Martinez, Emily Martinez, as well as her great-grandchildren, Myla, Knox, Bexley, Brady, Baylor, Cooper, Bentley, and Maverick, will forever cherish her memory.

She is also survived by her sisters, Joy Letlow, Suzan McGrath, Lela Beer, and Loren Peters, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Amanda Letlow, Jennifer Peters, Jeanna Dedekam, MaryAnn Hartzell, Teresa McGrath, Laura McGrath, Danyel, Joseph, Nicolas, William Letlow, Chris Peters, and Michael.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Dale & Alice Peters, her sister Jean Holstein, and nephew Robert Beer.

Myra Ann Martinez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.
