Marvin Lovick Robinson

Obituary Marvin Lovick Robinson age 82 of Irving, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. He was born on November 6, 1937 at home near Soper, Oklahoma to Virgil and Annis Robinson. His parents preceded him in death along with his sister, Glenna Dozier. He was a country boy who lived and worked on the family farm. After graduating from high school he attended Business school in Dallas, TX. Shortly after graduating he was employed by National Cash Register Co in 1956. He started out as an Office Assistant and worked his way up to be a Regional District Manager. He worked in St Joseph, Missouri, Wheeling, West Virginia and New Orleans , La., then back to Dallas TX before retiring in 1998, after 42 years of service. Marvin married Era Jewel Wilkinson, the love of his life, on June 22, 1958, in Durant, Oklahoma. Marvin was a good Christian man that adored his wife and family and will be greatly missed by all. He was a solid rock to his family. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Era Robinson; daughter, Donna Robinson Quinn and husband Timothy; son, Michael Robinson; brother, Robert Robinson and wife Maureen; sisters, Rebecca Hix, Jeanetta Dorrill and Ginger Dittrich and husband Ed; grandchildren, Casey Piazza, Jessica Rutledge, Scott Quinn and Shawn & Kristy Quinn; great-grandchildren, Antonio Rodriguez, Silas Hernandez, Brody Quinn and Autumn Quinn and numerous cousins and nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:30 on Wednesday, July 29th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 with interment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The Funeral Home requires that anyone attending the service wear a mask while indoors. Service Information
