Maria Dolores (Ojeda) Alvizo-Ojeda

Maria Dolores Alvizo Ojeda, age 61 of Irving, Texas passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 1, 2018. She was born in Mexico to Carlos Ojeda and Dolores Ramirez Ojeda on March 20, 1957. Maria married the love of her life, Gerardo Alvizo on January 29, 1975 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. She was a wonderful woman who always put others before herself. Maria was a very kind and loving wife and mother who prayed daily for the family and was a pillar that kept the family together alongside her husband. Her faith in Christ made her be a joyful person, even during trials. She always carried her bible and shared the Good News with those she came in contact with. She loved to serve in the church as a pastor's wife and in the ministry of children. Maria leaves behind her husband, Gerardo Alvizo; children, Jerry and wife DeAndra Alvizo, Lilia and husband Luis Moreno, Jonathan and wife Jenifer Alvizo, and daughter Rebeca Alvizo; 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 brothers, 8 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-5:00pm. on Sunday, November 4th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday, November 5th at 9:00am - 12:30pm, prior to the Funeral Services at 1:00pm in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas.
