Kenneth Wayne Crook, fondly known as “Ken, the Clock Man," entered this world on August 28th, 1941, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed from us on February 8th, 2024. He was the beloved son of Neil Edward Crook and Merley Hazel Crook. Kenneth's journey began in the heart of Shawnee, where he attended Shawnee High School and cultivated his passion for craftsmanship and woodworking, particularly in the creation of intricate family name clocks, toys, and desk nameplates.
Ken dedicated his professional life to the realm of freight sales, contributing his talents to TOX and East Texas Motor Freight. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family and hobbies.
On April 8th, 1966, Ken exchanged vows with his beloved wife Virginia, affectionately known as “Ginger “ Roberts Crook. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Kenneth's legacy lives on through his surviving loved ones, including his sons, Edward Crook and his wife Monica, and Evan Crook, along with his daughter, Robin Crook Pack. His grandsons, Jacob Crook, Bobby Crook and his wife Nicole, and Nick Crook, Rendon Crook & Marcus Villa, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kali Crook, Leilani Crook, Ezekiel Crook, & several nieces & nephews will continue to carry his spirit forward.
In his passing, Ken joins his father, mother, and brothers Eugene Crook, Fred Crook, and Charles Jamison. His memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Robert Isreal, Baylor Internal Medicine, Baylor Scott & White Hospital Irving, Everest Home Health Care nurse Kusumam Jacob and Vitas Healthcare for their compassionate care and support during Ken’s journey.
Ken leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and devotion—a legacy that will continue to inspire and resonate within the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
