Juanita Ruth Jarman Holbrook, 83, beloved wife, Mother, Nana and friend passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was born on February 28, 1938 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Weldon and Ethel Jarman. Juanita had a thirty plus year career in the Property and Casualty Insurance business she later retired in 2000. She volunteered for decades with The Boys Scouts of America, and was the first women to earn the Wood Badge Leadership Award. Juanita was also active at The Thomas B Hunter Masonic Lodge’s Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron from 1998-1999. Most of all she loved spending time and being with her family, they were the light of her life. She will forever live on in their hearts and memories.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Kenda Gaye; and son, Michael Leon; parents, Weldon and Ethel Jarman; brother, Edward Jarman.
She is survived by daughter, Karen Prawer and husband, Perry of Arlington, TX; son, David Holbrook and wife, Tiffany of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Mindy Bruns and husband, Daniel, Rebekah Longoria and husband, Brent, Amy Sullivan and husband, Chris, Tierney Burkhalter and husband, Brett, Active Duty Drill Sargent George Holbrook and wife, Ashley, Shelby Thorn and husband, Jeff; great grandchildren, Lily Burkhalter, Brayson Jones, Paxton Bruns, Harper Longoria, Rocket Longoria, Cooper Thorn, Tucker Thorn, Allie Holbrook, Ariel Longoria, Delaney Burkhalter, Nora Sullivan, Glory Longoria, Brady Burkhalter, Tripp Sullivan, and Kennedy Holbrook; sister, Joanne Bosscawen, and husband, Frank; among many nieces, nephews, and numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, September 22nd from 5-7 pm at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel. A private family interment will immediately follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
