Joyce Emily Posey

Joyce Emily Posey, born on April 30, 1947, in Kiowa, Oklahoma, passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 76, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Joyce was the daughter of Leonard and Irene Nichols Adams. She grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, and graduated from Grand Prairie High School. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, and businesswoman, who touched the lives of many.

Joyce was the proud owner of Good Turns Driving Academy in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she helped countless students achieve their driving licenses. Her passion for teaching and helping others made her a respected figure in the community. Joyce's dedication to her work earned her the respect and admiration of her peers and colleagues.

Joyce is survived by her beloved spouse of 59 years, James P. Posey, and her children, Misty Posey Hinojosa and Bryan Posey, her granddaughters, Chellby Hinojosa, and Emilee Hinojosa, and her siblings, Charles Adams, Linda Mc Cutchen, and Sherry DyarJoyce's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Joyce's life was not without loss and heartache. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Irene Adams, and her grandson, River Kristof Patino, will be forever remembered.

Joyce Emily Posey was a kind, compassionate, and selfless person who lived her life with grace and dignity. Her legacy will live on through her family, friends, and all the lives she touched. Joyce will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished forever.
