Johnny Calvillo

Johnny Calvillo, 74, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was born on August 4, 1946 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Pedro and Rose Mary Calvillo. Johnny grew up in North Dallas. On October 31, 1964 he married the love of his life, Paula M. Calvillo. Johnny was a truck driver for 30 years for J’s Bakery Supply. He had a good sense of humor and was always joking around and making people laugh. There was never a dull moment with him in the room. Johnny enjoyed painting, doing upholstery and going to the casino. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Paula M. Calvillo; parents, Pedro and Rose Mary Calvillo. He is survived by his children, Janie, Paula, Frank, John, Edward, David, and Phillip; grandson, Joseph, who was raised as his son; siblings, Rose Elda, Steven, Joe Daniel; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; among numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28th from 3-7 pm in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be on Friday, January 29th at 10:00 am at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
