Jeremy Joseph Huddleston

January 7, 1986 — April 16, 2021

Jeremy Joseph Huddleston, 35, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born on January 7, 1986 in Dallas, Texas to Chuck and Nancy Huddleston. Jeremy spent his life in Mesquite, Texas where he attended Black Elementary, Agnew Middle School, and Mesquite High School. In 2007, he earned his Associates Degree in Web Development from Texas State Technical College in Waco. Jeremy “H. 14” was loved for his quiet, gentle nature and playful spirit. Like his father, he was a dedicated fan of Dallas sports teams, especially The Rangers and Cowboys. Jeremy loved music, starting at an early age, both as an aficionado of classic, modern rock music, and as a bassist and trumpet player. Resilient through all the challenges of his life, Jeremy was a determined worker, whether helping out his family or serving customers in his 7 years with Home Depot. He always took pleasure in the simple things in life. Jeremy loved playing video games and challenging himself, constructing jigsaw puzzles and LEGO sets. Above all, he enjoyed exploring the world through food, movies, and through music with those he loved. Jeremy was a man of few words, but had a way of spreading joy to all those around him with his kind spirit, good humor, and infectious laugh.

He is preceded in death by his father, Chuck; and his faithful dog, Brisket.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Nancy; brother, Justin Huddleston and his wife, Kimberly; sister Melissa Valentine and her husband, Dustin; niece, Kennedy Huddleston; nephew, Lincoln Huddleston; among numerous cousins, other family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
