Israel Cerda Salazar Jr, age 60, of Venus, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born on December 7, 1960 in Orange, California, to Israel Salazar and Cecilia Miranda. Israel is preceded in death by his father and the beautiful woman who helped raise him, Emilia Salazar. Israel graduated from Paramount High School. Following graduation he served on a two year mission, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Barcelona, Spain. After serving the mission he married the love of his life, Patricia Guzman, in July of 1984. They had a strong marriage and were one of the greatest love stories to those who knew them. From that love came their first child in 1985, Stephen, and 12 years later they had Miranda. In 2015 they expanded their family by welcoming in Stephanie and Eduardo.
Israel spent many years working as a dispatcher for Bancroft and Sons Transportation. He was a faithful employee who really enjoyed his work, and all of the friends he made along the way. Israel absolutely adored his family and spending precious moments with them. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as, taking long drives with his family.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, September 14th from 5-7 p.m. at The LDS Church located at 1019 Big Stone Gap Rd, Duncanville, Texas 75137. Funeral Services Wednesday, September 15th at 10:00 as also at The LDS Church with Brian Bowman Officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville.
