Ida Beth Reece

March 28, 1937 — February 25, 2022

Ida Beth Reece, age 84 of Irving, Texas went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born on March 28, 1937 in Lubbock, Texas to O.J. and Thelma Aycock. They both preceded her in death along with her husband James Reece; a brother; two sisters; and very close friends Patty Duval and Virginia Kinnan. Beth grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School, then moved to Irving in 1974. She had a strong faith in God and was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Beth loved music and always had music playing in her home. She was a stay at home mom for 12 years then had several jobs with her last being a crossing guard. Beth enjoyed collecting baseball cards, vinyl records, depression glass, antique furniture, old coins and costume jewelry. The way you could best describe Beth was that she was always happy, sweet and humming a tune. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate in Beth Reece's honor to the Alzheimer's Association. She leaves behind her daughter, Shawn Carr and husband John; sons, Blake Windham and wife Debbie, Chad Windham; grandchildren, Daniel Windham, Travis Carr, Marshall Carr (Anacaren), Samuel Windham (Adleigh) and Garrett Carr; great granddaughter Joanna; 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
