Houji Wang entered the gates of heaven on Friday, February 4, 2022, in Valley Ranch, Irving, Texas after battling a very aggressive cancer with all his energy for over 4 months.
Houji is survived by Tingyao, his wife of sixty years.
He leaves behind his daughters Bo and Ying, Son-in-laws, Zhiyong and Kaijin. Houji is survived by his grandchildren Yan, Claire and Nolan. Additionally, he will be missed by his sister Baoyu and her family.
Houji was born in China to Wei Wang and Jinying Liu. Houji’s family moved to Chongqing during the World War II. After the World War II, the whole family moved to Shanghai, China. He chose to go back to his hometown to complete his high school there. He attended Northwest Polytechnical University in China. There he met the love of his life Tingyao Chen which set in motion their love filled marriage of 60 years.
Houji had been working for a Navigation technology institute in China since he was graduated from college. His pride was in the various achievements that he led his groups to made, and he shared his passion for learning and researching with his co-workers and friends.
Houji loved making friends, traveling and fishing. He liked to watch all kinds of sports show on TV and play computer game. He was full of compassion. He cared all the people who he knew. He liked to talk with his friends. He loved his family, his wife, his daughters, grandchildren and his siblings. He never stopped learning. Before he had health issue, he became a great gardener, perfect handyman and tech-savvy IT man.
Houji showed great courage, braveness and dignity in his last phase when facing all kinds of challenges by battling with the cancer. He was an amazing husband, loving father, wonderful grandfather and dependable brother. There will be no more pain in heaven. May you live in heaven joyfully and peacefully until we meet again.
