Frank Edward Jacob, age 77 of Irving, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 after a long battle with dementia. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Crown Point, IN to Paul and Julia Jacob. They both preceded him in death along with a sister, Louise Glade and brothers, Paul, Herman, Robert and George Jacob. Frank married his soul mate, Sharon Ziems on April 18, 1964 in Beecher, Illinois. They moved to Irving in 1980 and was a self employed painter. Frank liked playing golf and telling the same jokes that everyone still laughed at. He adored his family and would attend any sporting event that any of his kids or grandkids played in. Frank and Sharon enjoyed camping and belonged to the GMC Classic Motorhome Club. He leaves behind his wife, Sharon Jacob; children, Tammy Pringle, Steven Jacob (Christina), Troy Jacob (Catherine), Charity Durham (Rick) and Crystal Whitehead (Jesse); brother, Edward Jacob; sister, Rosemary Child; grandchildren, Heather, Justin, Matthew, Jonathan, Macy, Megan, Maddie, Blake, Kayla, Zachary, Dillon, Landon, Austin and Lilly; great-grandchildren, Brook, Asher, Sebastian, Victoria, Melody and Amelia. The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 12th from 2-4 p.m. at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13th also at Chism-Smith Funeral Home.
