Floyd Allen Brooks Jr., passed away on December 17, 2022. Floyd, fondly known as Danny, was born to Floyd Sr. and Bernice Brooks, on April 30, 1938 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He was very smart, motivated and charming. Floyd Jr. enjoyed fishing, boxing, and basketball. After graduating Central Catholic high school with honors Floyd Jr. started a family and worked as an accountant until he rejoined his Mother, Father and siblings in California where they had relocated to in 1955. Floyd Jr. is survived by his wife Beverly, his nine kids Denise, Floyd III, Mischelle, Raymond, Tracy, Camille, Jermain, Allen, Jackie and lots of Grandchildren. He is also survived by His mother Bernice, and two sisters Mary and Patricia. Floyd Jr. was predeceased by his father Floyd Sr., his sister Geraldine, his brother Darrell Sr., and his two kids David and Brandii. Aside from being very ambitious Floyd enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. Floyd was famously known for his quick wit and charm; laughter was always a guarantee when anyone spent time with Floyd, he will be greatly missed. Floyd fought his battle against Cancer and won the first round but unfortunately was not able to triumph the second round. Despite spending his last moments in the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his grown children, and made silly faces with his grandchildren. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed the most. Floyds family will host a Memorial service January 4, 2023 at 1:00pm at Chism Smith funeral home located in Irving Tx.
