Florence Ladell Jones

Florence Ladell Roark Jones, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and proud great-grandmother, passed away on Monday June, 26th 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born on August 30, 1943, Florence was one of seven siblings, surrounded by a close-knit family in rural Arkansas that shaped her character and values. Growing up alongside four sisters and two brothers, she learned the importance of compassion, loyalty and family bonds.
She shared a deep and abiding love with her spouse of 51 years Joe Bailey Jones and together they built a life centered around their family. She loved attending family gatherings, hosting pool parties and fish-frys.
Beyond her devotion to family, Florence had a passion for travel and vacations. Whether it was camping or venturing to new places, Florence embraced each adventure with enthusiasm and an open heart.
Florence will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched. As we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing that she is at peace and reunited with parents Hazel and Christopher Columbus, Husband Joe Bailey, and sisters Mariouida, Laveda, Janis and brother Johnny who preceded her in death.
The memory of Florence Ladell Roark Jones will live on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends. Her legacy of love and her commitment to family will continue to inspire us as we navigate the path ahead.
There will be a small graveside service where she will be laid to rest and reunited with Joe Bailey where they will remain together side by side.
