Dorothy Louise Bruce Hernandez

Dorothy Louise Bruce Hernandez, age 89 of Irving, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was born on July 3, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to George and Lottie Rotton. They both preceded her in death along with her first husband Alton Bruce and a sister Vera Marie. Louise attended Fostephical Heights High School in Ft. Worth and then attended Mountain View College in Dallas. She was raised in the Assembly of God Church and was a current member of Living Word Global Church in Irving. Louise married Jesse Hernandez 27 years ago and together they loved to pray and minister to people, wherever God led them. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, traveling, reading, word puzzles and eating out. Louise leaves behind her Husband Jesse Hernandez; children, Mike Bruce and his children, Michael (Delrae), Monique and Mistique; Debra Hale and her children, Brandon D'Arcy, Sharon Hale and John Hale; Darrell Bruce; Kevin Bruce (Mamie) and his son Chad Bruce; stepchildren, Hermelinda Williams (Mike), Irene Hammonds (George), James Hernandez and Ralph Hernandez; and their 10 children; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive guests from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15th at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
