Derrick Jermaine Thompson

Obituary Derrick Jermaine Thompson, 47, of Irving, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He was born on January 30, 1973 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Robert Garrett and Daisy Thompson, they precede him in death. Derrick was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a truck driver for most of his life and a very hard worker. Derrick enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, working on trucks and helping people. He was always willing to help anyone and loved bringing people together. Derrick loved his family and friends but most of all he was proud and grateful for his children. He is survived by his loving wife, Mackenzie Hampton; children, Ashton Thompson, Tiffany Thompson, Shalean Easter; siblings, Terry Thompson, Rocky Thompson, Billy Thompson, Rodney Thompson, Ardis Thompson, Anderson Thompson, Roslier Thompson, Dorothy Thompson and Rhonda Thompson; among numerous other family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on July 1st at Oak View Baptist Church in Irving at 1:00 pm. Service Information
