David Alan Hensel, born on December 15, 1946, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 77. The beloved son of Henry Patrick Hensel and Madeline Marie Wiedl, David was a lifelong resident of Tarentum. He graduated from Saint Joseph's High School and continued his education at Saint Vincent's College.
David devoted his career to FM Global, where he excelled as a Senior General Adjuster for FM Claims. Known for his dedication and professionalism, he was respected and admired by his colleagues.
A devout Catholic, David was deeply involved in his faith community. He was an avid golfer, a passion that allowed him moments of joy and relaxation. Beyond the green, David was happiest spending time with his friends and loving family. He was known for his kindness, integrity, and the discreet support he extended to all in his life.
David leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: JoAnn George, Michael Hensel, Deborah Kyle, Judith Strehlen, Kenneth Slodowski, Cindy Sholly, Diane Hensel, and Matthias Hensel. He will also be dearly missed by his dear friend, Mike Albert. David was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Madeline Hensel; his sister, Patricia Slodowski; his brothers, Henry P. Hensel and Robert Hensel; and his niece Margaret Michaels, Mary Rose Hensel and nephew Gregory R. Hensel.
In David's memory, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization close to his heart. His family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all who have supported them during this time and to those who will join them in celebrating David's remarkable life. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on through all who knew him.
The family honors his memory and invites those who knew him to remember and celebrate David's gracious spirit and contribution to their lives.
