David Paul Chrietzberg

Obituary David Paul Chrietzberg, 72, of Fort Worth, TX, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 10, 2020. He was born November 10, 1947 in Meridian, TX, to the late DC and Evelyn Chrietzberg. He is survived by his older brother, Jerry Chrietzberg and wife Barbara of Pittsburg, TX; daughter, Kelly Chrietzberg of Euless, TX and daughter, Kayla and husband Landon Simmons, two grandchildren, Bo and Ella of Jacksonville, NC; niece Janice and husband Don Sandlin of Round Rock, TX; niece Dana and husband David James of Lindale, TX; niece Brandi Bergmann of Fort Worth, TX and numerous cousins and extended family. David was preceded in death by his younger sister, Martha Bergmann of Fort Worth, TX. David was a proud Marine, honorably serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. He served our country in the Vietnam War in the 3rd Marines, 3rd Recon Battalion, 1st Platoon, Delta Company from August 1968 to July 1969. He held various occupations in farming, ranching, and iron working and loved to ride bulls in his younger days. David loved spending time with his daughters and family. He cherished every second with his grandchildren, Bo and Ella. He took great pride in teaching Bo how to ride bulls. He was fond of riding horses throughout his entire life. David enjoyed Sunday dinners and family gatherings. Oftentimes, David would reminisce about life when he was younger, telling stories about growing up with Martha and Jerry. He shared many wonderful memories of time spent with his cousins and friends. He loved his mother and daddy dearly. Funeral services and visitation will be held at Chism-Smith Funeral Home at 403 S. Britain Rd., Irving, TX 75060 on Friday, May 15, 2020. Visitation will be 11:30-1:00 with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at the DFW National Cemetery.
