Obituary Daniel Martinez, 22, of Irving, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2020. He was born August 31, 1997 in Mexia, Texas to David and Patricia Martinez. Daniel and his family moved to Irving, Texas where he attended Irving ISD and proudly graduated from Nimitz HS in 2017. At a young age he accepted God in his heart and life. Daniel was loving, kind, caring, smart, hard worker, and hard headed, BUT he had a big heart and wanted good for people. He loved playing soccer and played with The Barcelona Select Team. He joined Boy Scouts of America where he enjoyed outdoor activities and learned many outdoors survival skills. He enjoyed anime such as Naruto and of course loved playing his Xbox. As a young adult he loved hanging out with his friends, and late-night car rides with his mom and brother to get ice cream. He is survived by his parents David and Patricia Martinez; brother David Gregory; half-brother, Marcos; grandparents, Gregory Garcia and wife, Rebeca; grandparents Aristarco and wife Amada; aunts , Paula husband Jesus, Becky, Alma and husband, Jose, Norma and husband, Raul, and Elsa; uncles, Oscar, Carlos; cousins, Ara, Melissa, Diana, Jessica, Michael, Cecilia, Lizet, Isaias, Ericka, Jose Jr., Angie, Chris, Iris, Lilybeth, and Scarlet; his beloved cat, Zeus; among numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 21st from 2-8 pm at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Rosary will be begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 21st. Catholic Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 22nd at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas Service Information
