Craig Douglas Mathews

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Craig Douglas Mathews, a beloved son, brother, husband, and father. Craig's journey through life began on June 3, 1965, in Nellore, India, where he was born to proud parents Douglas Valentine and Deanna Mary Mathews. He grew up in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, India, and throughout his life, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Craig had a thriving career in the hospitality industry, where his warm and welcoming nature truly shone. His dedication to providing exceptional service to others was evident in every role he undertook. Beyond his professional pursuits, Craig was a man of diverse interests and passions. He had an affinity for the sweet science of boxing, finding solace and inspiration in the ring. His dance moves lit up many a dance floor, and he had an undeniable love for family activities that brought joy and unity to his loved ones.

Craig's journey through life was marked by two significant marriages, first to Rosalind Mathews and later to Gail Mathews. Though these unions may have ended, the bonds of love and respect remained strong, a testament to Craig's enduring character. He is survived by his two sons, Adam Mathews and Kyle Mathews, who were the lights of his life.

In addition to his sons, Craig is survived by his loving parents, Douglas Mathews (dad) and Deanna Mathews (mom); his devoted brothers, Kerwin and Shaun; and his warm-hearted caring sisters, Annzolette Maduka Ike, and Christina Kerwin, and Sabra Murray. Uncle Craig is so cherished and loved by all his surviving nephews and nieces from both sides of the family tree.

Craig was preceded in death by his brothers, Lynley Mathews (01/18/2008) and Fabian Mathews (10/29/2022), whose memories he held close to his heart.

We, Craig's siblings, extend a special thank you to Adam and Roz, Kyle and Gail, our amazing mom and dad for their unwavering support in life and during this difficult time. We thank the Khan family, Jeffrey, David, Nicola, Jennifer, Lorraine, Shay, Shaad Sippy and all who held a special place in Craig's heart.   With deep gratitude, you are remembered.

Craig Douglas Mathews, fondly known as Craig-boy, leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, his spirit forever dancing in our hearts!
