Clyde Lois Kiker

Clyde Lois Kiker, 98 of Irving passed away at home on the morning of April 18, 2022.

She was born on April 7, 1924 in Rosebud, Texas to Andrew Jackson and Hallie Belle (Rector) McClure. She was a resident of Lindale, Texas for 33 years until moving to Irving 11 years ago. She attended Troy High School then North Texas State University where she met and married Lee Hartman who passed away in 1947. She was then married for 64 years to Thomas Kiker who passed away in 2011. She was a mother, homemaker and worked alongside Tom in many of his endeavors; was a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale, TX; Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star. Her talents included playing piano, organ, bells, and singing in the church choir; she enjoyed traveling, needle point, gardening, playing bridge, and working with senior adults at church.

She is preceded in death by her parents;  husbands; daughters; Patricia Ann Whitfield and Annette Marie Everheart; sisters; Bonnie Belle Watkins, Evelyn Jack Lucky, and Faye Louisa Stephenson; brothers; Andrew Jackson McClure Jr. and William Dan McClure. She is survived by grandchildren, Robin Hurt and husband, John; Rhonda Brown and husband, Mitchell; Bill Sparks and wife Dawn; Judy Hauge and husband, Eric; Brook Whitfield and wife Helena; great–grandchildren; Heather Armstrong and husband, Wesley; Lauren Ashwin and husband, Nick; Kaitlyn Hurt, Jered Brown, Jennifer Brown, Brooke Brown, Brittany Broudhurst and husband Ryan; Thomas Hauge, Daniel Hauge, Jaclyn Weir and husband Kenny; Brook Whitfield III.; great-great grandchildren, Delta Ashwin, Noah and Makinzee Brown, and Levi and Colt Weir.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Nix officiating. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery in May.
