Charles Blanton Huddleston Jr.

August 3, 1959 — September 2, 2020

Obituary Charles Blanton Huddleston Jr., known to all as Chuck, was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on August 3, 1959 to Charles and Marjorie Huddleston. Chuck spent his early life in Dallas, Texas where he attended Stults Road Elementary, Forest Meadow Junior High, and Lake Highlands High School. In the summer of 1980 Chuck met the love of his life Nancy Bergmann and they were soon married. Chuck and Nancy moved to Mesquite and had 3 children. Chuck spent his working life as an underwriter with Aetna Insurance until 1994, and the last 25 years with Metroplex Elevator as an elevator technician. Chuck loved fishing, playing guitar, cooking and working with his hands. He was an expert in the minutiae of World War II, an avid consumer of Tom Clancy and W.E.B. Griffin novels, and a firm believer in the possibility of the existence of Bigfoot. Chuck was a P1 from day one of Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket, and he loved being disappointed by Dallas sports teams, especially the Mavericks. He was a connoisseur of simple pleasures and delighted in quiet solitude and conversation with close family and friends. Chuck was happiest while at the beach in Port Aransas or spending time with his two grandchildren. Chuck is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy; three children: Justin Huddleston and wife, Kimberly, Jeremy Huddleston, Melissa Valentine and husband, Dustin; two grandchildren; Kennedy Huddleston and Lincoln Huddleston; sisters, Carol Johnson, Jill Vigil; among many cousins, nieces and nephews. Chuck is predeceased by his parents; and his faithful dog, Brisket. Service Information
