Carroll "Bailey" Clements, age 81, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, He was born on May 25th, 1940 in Peacock, Texas. In 1959 he graduated from Pampa High School. Later attending Henderson County Junior College through a football scholarship, where he met Carol Collier. He and Carol transferred to North Texas State University, where both received degrees in secondary education. Bailey and Carol were married in Athens, Texas, in August of 1963; beginning their teaching careers in west Texas. In 1967 their son William was born, and in 1969 the family moved to the DFW area settling in Irving. This is where Bailey began his career in food service management with Wyatt Cafeterias. Shortly thereafter their daughter Claudia was born in 1972. The family resided in Irving until 1995 when Carol was called home to be with the Lord. In 1999 at his 40th high school reunion he re-connected with fellow Pampa graduate Nelda Price, and later marrying her in October of 2000, making their home in Reno, Nevada. Nelda passed away in February of 2014, at which time Bailey moved back to the metro-plex, where he lived with his daughter Claudia, until his passing.
Bailey was a member at First Irving where he served as a Deacon. He was also very active in Gideons International, serving as the treasurer in The Irving Camp. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and a brother. He leaves behind many loving family members and friends.
