It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Smith, who departed from this world on February 25th, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on August 9th, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, Carol Ann was the cherished daughter of Asa Leo Kiser and Annie Pearl Washburn.
Growing up in the heart of Dallas, Carol Ann was a vibrant soul who embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She was a devoted member of the North Dallas Church of the Nazarene, where her faith and spirit shone brightly among her community.
Carol Ann was known for her love of connecting with others. She possessed an infectious joy and an innate ability to weave tales from her youth, captivating those around her with stories of days gone by. Her love for shopping and spending time chatting on the phone were emblematic of her outgoing and sociable nature, She was a daughter, sister , mother , grandmother, and great grandmother, and friend to anyone who needed one.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.Carol Ann is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Rodriguez, and her beloved son Roy Smith Jr., her beloved grandchildren Joseph Castillo, Venessa Castillo, and Christopher Rodriguez II. Additionally, she leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and joy she brought to her family, her sister Marilyn Wasden, and numerous nieces , nephews , and cousins, Carol was truly loved!
Carol Ann Smith's presence in the lives of those she touched will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.God called her home but all that knew her weren’t ready to let go. As we bid farewell to a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, may we find solace in the cherished moments we shared with her and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
