Carol Rozelle (Abney) Phillips

Carol Rozelle (Abney) Phillips, 79, of Waxahachie TX, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Pleasant Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Facility.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25 at Chism Smith Funeral Home in Irving, Texas, with the Rev. Mike Blalock officiating.

Carol was born December 19, 1942 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Evelyn Marie Rozell and William Henry Abney.

She married David Phillips on March 2, 1963 and had five children. Despite residing in North Texas the majority of her adult life, Carol always considered her childhood home of Disney, Oklahoma to be home.

Survivors include her husband, David Phillips, sonsand daughters-in-law, David (Becky) Phillips of Red Oak, Texas and Quentin (Dani) Phillips of Hendersonville, Tennessee; daughter Priscilla Parsons of Howe, Oklahoma and daughter and son-in-law Jane (Frank) West of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Parsons, Misty Parsons, David Phillips, Sarah (Jacob) Reyes, Daniel Phillips, Olivia Phillips, Thomas West, Jaxon Phillips and Austin Phillips; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister Glenda (Richard) Willis of Neosho, Missouri, brothers Chalmers Neighbors of Lawton, Oklahoma, Terry Meador of Vinita, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Phillips; sister Dorothy Watford and brotherTalmadge Neighbors.
