Bobby Frank Woodard

Bobby Frank Woodard, 85, passed away on May 12, 2021 in Plano, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1936 in Wood County, Texas to Jim Floyd Woodard and Paula Nadine (French) Woodard.
Bobby was raised in Wood County near Winnsboro where he attended school and graduated high school in 1954. He married the love of his life, Jackie Nell Tinney in 1957 in Dallas. Bobby worked for Texas Instruments for 32 years as a mechanical engineer, retiring in 1994. He moved his young family to Irving in 1974, where they became active members of Oak View Baptist Church, and Bobby served there as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joann Birdsong.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Melynda Grant and husband, Richard of Irving; two sons, Steven Woodard and wife, Stacy of Flower Mound, and John Woodard and wife, Randi of Irving; brother, Jerry Woodard and wife Mary Jo of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Corey Woodard, Caleb Woodard, Matthew Grant, Michael Grant, Alicia Countryman and husband, James, David House and wife, Brittnie and Candice House and three great grandchildren, Hope House, Hudson Wells and Kegan Wells.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5-7:00PM at Chism & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00AM at Oak View Baptist Church, 1004 S. Story Rd., Irving, TX 75060.

In honor of Bobby, the family requests that memorials be made to Oak View Baptist Church, in lieu of flowers.
