Bobby Lora Smith

Bobby Lora Nichols Smith, age 78 of Grand Prairie Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was born on March 28, 1943 to Jewel Stanley and Lora Lucille Nichols. They both preceded her in death along with her son Donald Smith; grandson Damean Stone; granddaughter Brandy Stone; great grandson Nathan Stone; and her nine siblings. Bobby was a strong independent woman who accomplished a lot at an older age and was an exceptional role model for all of her family. She went back to school in her 40’s and entered into her last job which was an administrative assistant with Arthur Andersen and KPMG. Bobby always had an open-door policy and was forgiving, genuine, loving, accepting, non-judgmental and most of all a bit sassy. She cherished her time with her family and enjoyed playing games, reading and traveling. Bobby’s life is imprinted in the hearts of her family and friends.

She leaves behind her daughters Cynthia Hicks and husband Steve, Donna Stone and husband Michael; son Ed Smith and wife Farrah; grandchildren Lora Keech, Tony Stone, Tanya Morgan, Sara Barnes, Crystal Stone, Lacie Stone, Aaron Smith, and Madison Smith; along with great-grandchildren Karma Stone, Scarlett Stone, Eli Stone, Draven Gonzalez, Payton Gonzalez, Allen Stone, Lucas Stone, Tyler Stone, Waylon Stone, Wyatt Stone, Bodey Gentry, Danton Gentry, JulieAnna Keech, Jacob Keech, Kaden Morgan, Waylon Morris, Stanley Smith; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will Celebrate Bobby’s life with a service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 5th at Chism Smith Funeral Home.
