Betty Jean Russell

Obituary Betty Jean Russell, age 89 of Grand Prairie, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was born on February 5, 1931 in Irving, Texas to James and Gertie White. They both preceded her in death along with her siblings, Woody, Lorine, Lois, Juanita, John and Mary. Betty was the typical Proverbs 31 woman, devoted, loyal and virtuous. A wonderful and loving mother and wife who was a natural caregiver who took care of anyone who needed her. Betty enjoyed going to Sonic getting her a hamburger and a Dr. Pepper each Tuesday. She was a big fan of the Gaithers and all gospel music. She always had that beautiful Betty smile letting you know she was doing good. Betty will be greatly missed by her sons, Richard and Kenneth; Daughter-in-law Trishy; grandchildren Jeremy, April, Jennifer, Derrick, Katrina, Joseph, Josh; great-grandchildren Kayla, Jeremy Jr, Autumn, Anna, Christine, Isaiah, Adam, Cheyenne, Addiysn, Aylee, Jordynn, Ava, Kaycn, AJ, Crosby; and great-great grandchildren Mariah, Maliya, Colt(Levi), Russell. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 4th at Chism Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 1:30.
