Bertha Alicia (Lopez) Rodriguez

Bertha Alicia Rodriguez, age 60, of Irving TX passed away on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1961, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Francisco Lopez and Armandina Ortiz. Bertha attended Josefa Ortiz De Dominguez High School and later went to Academia Comercial Cuauhtemoc where she got a degree in accounting. On September 13, 1980, she married the love of her life, Octavio Rodriguez. Bertha enjoyed cooking and she loved The Lord. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her father Francisco Lopez; mother-in-law, Camerina Gallegos; brother-in-law, Tomas Salomon, and nephew, Rafael Favela. Bertha is survived by her loving husband, Octavio Rodriguez; children, Salomon Rodríguez, Rodé Zoe Matamoros, Samuel Rodríguez, Janobel Matamoros, Josie Martinez; grandchildren, Janobel Elijah Matamoros, Enoch Immanuel Matamoros, and Zoe Atarah Matamoros; among numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 19th from 3-7 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 20th at 10:00 am in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Center in Coppell.
