Annette "Marie" Everheart

June 9, 1942 — October 5, 2020

Annette “Marie” Everheart, 78, of Irving, Texas passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020. She was born on June 9, 1942 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Thomas and Lucille Kiker. Marie grew up in Wichita Falls, later moving to Oak Cliff where she attended South Oak Cliff High School. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas, as well as several bookkeeping jobs at, Johnny Quick Start, Drury Inn, and Xerox. Marie was also a realtor with Century 21. For many years she worked diligently as a single mom, dedicated to providing for her children. She served as a friendly ambassador at Brookdale Retirement Home. Marie was a member of the Red Hat Society. Over many years, Marie was a faithful member of Berean Memorial Church, then Irving Bible Church, and finally Village Baptist Church. Marie sang in the choir and established a library in the church. Her hobbies included oil painting and Women’s Bible Study. Marie was a makeup artist for drama productions, an avid reader, and loved to travel. One of her favorite things to do was to volunteer organizing the library at West Fork Village, where she resided. Marie made many dear friends when she joined the Red Hatters Society. She cared for others to the extent of opening her home to Debbie and Jeanette. A humorous and interesting tidbit, that her grandkids didn't even know, is that Marie enjoyed dirt bike riding, and introduced her daughters to riding too. As a family, we spent weekends at the dirt bike trails, enjoying nature and family. Marie is preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her step-mother, Lois Kiker; daughters, Robin Hurt and husband, John, Rhonda Brown and husband, Mitchell; grandchildren, Heather Hurt Armstrong and husband, Wesley, Jered Brown, Jennifer Brown, Lauren Hurt Ashwin and husband, Nick, Brittany Brown Broadhurst and husband, Ryan, Kaitlyn Hurt, Brooke Brown; great grandchildren, Noah and Makinzee Brown, and Delta Ashwin; nephew, Bill Sparks and wife, Dawn; niece, Judy Hauge and husband, Eric, and their sons Thomas and Daniel.
