Alfredo Silva Atkinson

Obituary Alfredo Silva Atkinson, age 71 of Irving, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2019. He was born on April 20, 1948 in Harlingen, TX to Jose and Manuela Atkinson. They preceded him in death along with his siblings, Lillie, Manuel and Joe Atkinson. Fred was a loving, patient, and caring family man. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Western movies were his favorite. Fred loved his family and did everything for them. He always talked about all Five of his children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his smile and laugh will be missed. Fred drove a Navasota lp gas truck for 40 years before retiring and moving to Irving Tx . He loved sitting around a fire with a good cold beer telling stories of his youth from back home in South Texas ,so many of the stories that he taught us and memories will never be forgotten. He leaves behind his children, Freddy Atkinson and wife Nancy, Chris Atkinson and wife Crystal, Rachel Atkinson, Michael Atkinson and wife Renai and Julie Cuneen and husband Pat ; siblings, Delia and husband Israel Ramos, Ofelia Torres and husband Lupe, Mary Jane Atkinson, Rudy Atkinson and Ralph Atkinson; grandchildren, Rosie, Christopher, Devin, L.J., Aiden, Nathan, Richard; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, siblings and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00-8:00 on Friday, January 10th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 6:00 p.m. also on Friday at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Service Information
