Mike Bruce

Mike Bruce, age 75 of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. He was born in Lavon, Texas on July 12 ,1947 to Homer Russell and Laverne Bruce. They both preceded him in death along with his brother Teddy Bruce. Mike grew up in Wylie, Texas and graduated from Wylie High School then became a Heavy Equipment Operator. He married Elizabeth Baker on October 26, 1965. Mike loved his Harleys and dirt bikes and he would ride his Harley to the ROTC rallies in Austin. His constant companion was Sheba his beloved Chow Chow. Mike leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth; son Mike Bruce Jr.; and his dog, Sheba. The family will receive guests from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 29th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 30th at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
